NEEDED: High-res scans of Columbia needle packets

Post by Curt A »

I need some scans of Columbia needle packets for a project, if anyone could help.... similar to the one shown or other designs, but all variations - loud tone, soft tone, etc.

HELP... Somebody must have some of these packets... If you don't want to scan them, I am interested in buying them...

I might be able to dig up a couple. I'll check first chance I have over the weekend.

Thanks for the scans... do you know the width and height of the actual envelopes?

The width is 1 ¾ inches and the height 2 ¾ inches. Those are exact measurements for both.
Hope this helps you in your adventure. Sounds exciting and fun. You have my curiosity running. I love anything to do with phonograph needle advertising.

I recently found a Columbia counter display for phonograph needles and originally it would have been filled with those needle packets... The possibility of finding enough original packets to fill it is unlikely, so I thought I would print and remake enough needle packets to make it look good. I have been interested in needle tins, etc. for a long time and they are one of my favorite phonograph related items. I'm attaching a pic of the counter display so you can see what I mean...

Here are some images of the Columbia packs I have. I also have the shop display and have collected a few packs to display in it over the years. If you want better or additional images let me know.

I have seen a few others and only one that still has the glass tray shown in the ad you posted. I would love to find one of those, but I don't hold out a lot of hope for that. Anyone have one they want to let go?

Curt nice seeing you online. A very nice Columbia display case indeed. That will look nice with needle packets displayed. Neil
