Well i struggled with this spring barrel for a few hours and nothing worked. I opened it up and when I closed it back for some unknown reason the small gear in question just worked again, not visible alterations, no "click" not "ah ha " moment, but not its back in place.... Kind of frustrating and anticlimactic.... My machine is now up and running. Thanks for the help everyone. So satisfying to hear it belt out a few tunes!
