How to make these say 78rpm?
These are the speed regulators on the VV XII and VV XVI C. Now they both sound right to me so near 78rpm but how do you make them show that speed without changing the speed. I have fiddled with one in the past but still could not make it show 78rpm when it was 78rpm. Any easy way to describe and a fix? Easily understood by us who know little!

I think you have to adjust the setting under the motorboard. Others familiar with this type can respond in detail.
It's easy on my XI-G. There's an adjustment screw in the center of the speed control knob. But the indicator disc plate just says "Fast" and "Slow," and there's only one number by the line markings, at "78."

Thanks Henry, I have fiddled with these two and now seems correct. I put a piece of paper on the turntable and got 39 revolutions in 30 seconds so figure that equals 78rpm. My math teacher would be proud of me! ha ha

Mr Jerry B. posted a tutorial here on the forum back in May of 2018.
Yours may be the same type. You can use the search option on the forum to locate it. I can’t do links from my iPad.
Hope this helps,

printing out a strobe disc is very helpful and there's no guessing.

This is just scratching the surface (pun intended!) on what's out there for free.

The strobe disks work well if you have incandescent bulb lighting (not fluro or led lighting).
Digital laser tachometers can be bought cheaply from eBay/China.
