Is There A Snap Ring Missing On This Reproducer?

Post by Dave D »

I think there is a ring missing. Any thoughts on how to make one? I was thinking of some stout music wire, but I am open to other options.
Thanks,
Dave D

Dave, Is this a Columbia one? If so, you can make a snap ring out of 1/16" brass wire. Steel music wire will be hard to bend. All this has to do is hold the gaskets and mica in place.

I was hoping to hear from the Columbia expert! Thanks, Harvey. Yes, this is on a Columbia client brand machine. I like your idea a lot since I can nickel plate the brass ring.
Thanks again,
Dave
