If you can’t locate original hardware here is a source for some common and some hard to find machine screws, wood screws and fasteners. They even have a section entitled “Phonograph Screws” but it isn’t clear why. Nevertheless, there are many choices of fasteners with different finishes, materials, head type. Most are available with a slotted head as found on our old phonos.

Re: Good Source for Screws and Fasteners
Since shipping for small numbers of screws is multiple times their cost, I ordered a large variety of nickel plated slotted wood screws years ago. But like always, the screw you need is the one you don't have

I’m reposting this hardware source for those that may not have seen it. Most recently they added some 5-40 slotted set screws that are suitable for Edison top works. They are nickel plated and slightly shorter but are a good substitute is old stock can’t be located.
