Victor III Spring Barrels

Post by HisMastersVoice »

Does anyone have any experience with Victor III springs? They are unlike any I have done before. I don't see any logical way to remove the rod and open the barrels.

Evidently you have to pry the gear up on the other end of the shaft first. It was really stuck on there!

Yep, that's why I dislike this iteration of Victor motors. Just getting to the springs
is a chore. Sounds like you figured it out, the main thing is to pry the gear straight
off so you don't damage the pin that fits in the gear sideways. Another weird thing
on these motors, the springs are both going the same direction just in case you did not
notice. :)
