Columbia bc reproducer

I am having a terrible time with my columbia bc. I had the upper works rebuilt and a new wheel and shoe made but it just doesn't sound right .
The sound is kind of tinney and it wobbles if you know what I mean. When the volume is quite loud it distorts.
I'm not sure if it gasket/ diaphragm issue or stylus or some kind of adjustment.
I could use some advise as to what to adjust of check out.
