Excellent German Website - In English

Post by Curt A »

This German website is an excellent source of information and music... check it out.

Interesting article about an early Berlin Orchestra - very well researched...
"Georgi Vintilescu – the „Ragtime King“ from the Palais de Danse, Berlin"
His band was way ahead of the times... this style of music from 1911 is wonderful. Normally, I don't like most "dance" music from that era, but his is unique for the time period.

"The Gaby Glide" would be a great cylinder to own...

"No one needs a Victrola XX, a Perfected Graphophone Type G, or whatever you call those noisy things."

Thanks for the links... where in Germany are you located? I have visited many times and love Germany. In fact I had a cancer treatment, which was very successful, in Munich...
