I've had this sitting around the basement for several years and it's time to get it to someone who might appreciate it. I know nothing about it except there is a small portable machine at the edge of the artwork. I have no idea of value so make an offer and it's likely to be yours. I am happy to deliver to Union or APS or ship at cost. Please send a PM with any interest or questions. It is about 20" across the base.
Even if you are not interested, I appreciate any comments. I'd like to know anything about it.
Thanks, Jerry

That's advertisement used on calendar date back to 30s in China. Those women are selling point. It's worthy a lot for some Chinese collectors.

I know there are quite a number of these Asian paper ads hitting the market that are reproduction and made to fool unsuspecting buyers. Aged and ripped to deceive.
A couple local dealers have been fooled by them and lost serious money. They seem to show up on CL a lot. Some are beer related, etc....Most, contain beautiful woman.
I would take it to someone who deals in 20'-30's Asian ads to make sure.

The portable looks like a Columbia 112a De Luxe in crocodile finish, but the artist has put the spring loaded plunger in the lid on the wrong side, where it will collide with the speed control when the lid is shut. It's intended purpose is to seal the needle bowl which is out of sight on the bottom right of the motor board.
Needless to say, he has also made the common error of placing the soundbox on the wrong side for playing a record. Some inexperienced eBay sellers still do this.
