WANTED: Columbia Carriage assy

Post by Crank_it_up »

I’m in need of a Columbia reproducer carriage for a Type AT. This machine has been in my family a long time and needs to get fixed instead of just sitting on a shelf looking pretty. Thanks in advance for your help. I have parts to trade or cash to give.

Hi Joe,

Recently, Wyatt had a live show showing parts he had for sale/trade. He did have a complete reproducer carriage for an AT. While it was also frozen, between yours and his, you may be able to get a working one going! The lift lever was frozen. What I have done is to dremmel cut all the way through the lever and this frees it up! At least it sometimes does! It is kind of like the AZ lift lever—which already is notched out. Anyway, good luck! Maybe someone has a model A parts machine—which is the same assembly—but not pot metal.

Joe,
Brian at the phono shop also has repo parts for these. I had to make a few pieces to make it work but he had the parts like the tube.
