What would be the total number of plays you get out of this?

(It appears it plays 20 times per one-sixth turn of the star, so I guess it depends on the total length of the needle embedded in the holder. Is that known?)

Also, what is the teardrop for?

The advertisements state 27,000 plays and 9 inches of tungsten wire. From other threads on the forum and talking to people who have them, I see that other people were able to get about 20-30 plays before turning out more point. The teardrop is merely to hold the needle on the card as part of the packaging.
