Heads up..$20 Ebay listing for a Granada near Middletown, PA

Yes, mine is later. I'm told it's a 1927 budget model. Even in the shape it's in, it's amazingly loud, and, has decent fidelity. The woods they used for the case are nice, especially on thr front. It was the cheapest upright they made, yet, it is a very fine sounding machine.
With nine hours to go, it's still for sale......
I'm not trying to be a bully to anyone, but, I think the seller is being both unrealistic, and, unfair.
I last contacted seller about it two days ago.
That's when he informed me that two other people were interested in buying parts from it.
I have a bad feeling on this one.

In my other hobby of old cars, it is common practice to use vehicles which are beyond economic restoration as donors to bring better ones back to life. I apply the same principle of recycling to gramophones.

While I do agree with this to some extent, I don't think a Granada with a missing lid for $20 should be classed as uneconomical to fix. Even if a replacement lid cost $100, you'd have a very nice Granada for $120.
Bill's machine on the other hand appears to be beyond economic restoration, at least for him, so perhaps it's that one that should be parted out, or sold as is to someone who is willing to spend what it takes to restore the machine properly?
