I have a nice example of an early handmade exhibitor's case for brown wax cylinders that I am willing to part with. My interest lies mainly with recording and I prefer to keep my brown wax in cylinder boxes so this really has no place in my personal collection. I'd like to see it go to someone who might display it as it's an interesting part of the early history of brown wax. If this is something you are intersted in shoot me an offer. It is hard for me to put a value on this piece as it is a unique handmade item and I am not quite sure how difficult it is to find exhibitor's stuff. I am open to trades, specifically Edison parts/accessories.
The condition is pretty nice and it displays well. It seems one peg is missing, and the latch does not work. The handle has an oxidized copper finish and the case is painted in an interesting dark red tone. The cloth on the inside of the case is what appears to be a fuzzy woven cotton material.
