WTB- Maud Powell violin records.

Post by Player-Tone »

I am looking to buy early Maud Powell violin solo records, in particular Victor 808 ‘Souvenir/Silver Threads Among the Gold’ red-seal batwing.

Thanks!

I probably have that one. I'll check and them p.m. you. // p.m. me if I forget. I know I have quite a few of her recordings. There is also a wonderful in-depth biography of her by Karen Shaffer. Maud Powell was an Original American Musical Pioneer and cared deeply about music and education, devoting her life to it/them.

That's great, thanks for looking! If I don't hear from you in a week I will send a PM to remind you.

Thanks again.

She lived in Peru IL and they have a Maud Powell festival I would also like to find some records, to play by the statue of her they have In Peru. They had a display at the public library.
