SOLD: (Columbia) BZH Hornless Phonograph - $160

Post by HisMastersVoice »

Here's a nice little BZH, motor runs, reproducer could use a rebuild. Nice small machine for taking outdoors etc. Finish is original and in good shape. Can be shipped at buyers expense, or free delivery to the Stanton auction this weekend, or to Union with advance payment.

These are nice little machines. With the corner columns, metal grill, and grained horn, they have a real touch of class. For a small machine, they are quite loud and clear.

I agree, it is a rather handsome little thing. I think it's a little smaller than a VV-IV (I don't have one here to compare) but nicer looking in my opinion.

It maybe smaller than a VV-IV, but much louder and clearer. That's because the horn is metal, and continuous. The VV -IV has the motor in the middle of the horn. Don't get me wrong, The VV-IV sounds pretty good too, when properly tuned.
