Hello all
A friend bought a Zonophone Grand Opera rear mount out of an estate, along with some other phonographs. The metal parts were spray painted gold for some reason. Now I know why. The machine had a Victor tonearm, goldplated. The previous owner sprayed everything gold for it to match. Also, the tonearm had a homemade sleeve to make it work in the Zonohone bracket. My friend wanted to sell this machine for 900.00, but I am not sure if the value is there with the replaced toearm (unless the buyer has the replacement).Has anyone got a tonearm and cradle for this machine??
Could also use a Zonophone reproducer. It looks just like an Exhibition but says Zonohoe on it. This machine was made when Victor bought out Zonophone, so it has many of the same parts.
Thank you
John Robles
