I have a VV IV that does not have a grill. I do not see any holes in the for one.. Does that mean it should have a metal grill in it???? It looks like that is a nice machine to purchase. Tom B

Tomb, you might have the 1917 version. That single year they went without the slats. Apparently people didn't like it and the slats came back the following year. I've been looking for that version just because it's odd. If you ever want to sell/trade let me know.

The grille-less VV-IV's actually turn up quite often on EBay and at the shows. I sent this seller a PM and I am still waiting for him to get back to me about the machine he is trying to sell.
