If you'd like a very presentable oak Orthophonic machine that doesn't take up much room and is reliable enough to be played daily... look no further. At 18" across, 15" deep, and 13" high with the lid closed it doesn't take much space, but boy can it fill a house with great music delivered with stunning clarity, and look great whilst doing so...
This package includes
*a nearly NOS HMV 5-B reproducer with original box. Reproducer is completely free of cracks or any swelling of the pot metal and the rubber mount is supple.
*A fresh pack of NOS HMV "Long Play" needles advertised as being good for up to 60 plays each. I've been using these needles for years- they're fantastic and create very little record wear compared to single play needles. They sound great!
The single spring motor has been cleaned and serviced with fresh synthetic Redline grease. It spins sure and smooth with no variation, thumps, or bumps. Easily plays through a 12" recording.
The cabinet is original finish with a very few minor issues that are nearly impossible to photo. You won't be disappointed.
Buy it, unpack it, display it, and play your treasured records on it without fear.
These fine Victrola cousins are quite rare in USA.
