For sale is probably the only HMV Sheraton Gramophone Grand in the United States. This is the HMV equivalent of the Pooley flat-top Victrola, and is quite rare. This particular example needs a little cabinet work, as seen in the attached photographs, but will eventually present quite nicely. With the exception of the lock for the lid, this machine is substantially complete. I do have the trim piece for the lower doors, too. Besides, when will you see another one? I am only selling because I am moving to France. For the collector who has everything, this is the machine to buy.

This machine is rare, to say the least.

Even in Europe you might have a long wait before a Sheraton came up for sale, so if the machine was mine I would take it with me.

Eldridge Johnson is said to have disapproved of G&T's refusal to copy the original Victrola design, but the Sheraton was an expensive limited production designed to resemble a piece of 18th century furniture and has aged more gracefully.
