Last horn I had shipped from back East to Oregon FedEx wanted $130 to ship it due to "dimensional weight", and Greyound delivered damage free it from the seller's nearest terminal to mine for $44.

You know, I have never thought about that!
It all depends on whether the seller is able/ willing to ship it from a nearby terminal or not. I don't mind doing it but it may not gel with some work or family schedules.
