Yes, it's a good price. It's an interesting machine. It is clearly a model B, but it has the top mounted speed control. Is there any evidence of this being an ICS or ITC school machine (such as screw holes on either side of the bedplate signature for a repeater)?
Regards,
Martin

Aside from the presence of the speed control, what are the characteristics that mark the difference in the upper works between a Model A and B? My ICS Model B has a lift lever on the carriage, instead of the knurled knob. Were the ITC machines different in this respect?

Hi Bill.

The main identifiers of it being a model B are the spring motor mounts and the threaded crank shaft. I've always liked the quiet of the B motor, but have always wished that it had a top mounted speed control. Most were ICS/ITC type machines. (The ITC had a different tag on front but was the same in every other respect to the ICS machine.)

Not gonna make it to Wayne, would you ship? Wouldn't mind a project.

OK.

The knurled nut on the speed control shaft is rather odd, though: it is not on my machine.

I had one like this! It was a "B" but had a knob. Darnedest thing I had seen, I have a thread on here about it.

Last chance here and then I'll email those who asked about shipping (in the order that the inquiries were received.)
$130 with 20 mostly 2 minute cylinders and a few 4-min. Indestructibles, if picked up at Wayne tomorrow.
