FOR SALE: Blue Records and Blues Records - $Various

Post by bfinan11 »

If you want to see or hear any of these let me know, I can send pictures or upload audio on youtube.

SOLD Lucille Bogan - Shave 'Em Dry [blank label with stamped title] ($50): this one does have a noticeable needle dig about 20 seconds in that makes three or four loud clicks and goes away.

Billy Mitchell and Hattie Noel - Party Records [Blue Records 108, 110, 111] ($20)
Rubbin'; Johnny's Hot Rod; Willie Sure Could Do It; The Bumblebee Invaded A Nudist Colony; Find Out What They Like And Give It To 'Em; If I Can't Sell It

Lucille Hegamin - The Jazz Me Blues / I'll Be Good But I'll Be Lonesome [Puritan 11052] ($40) - One of the first female blues ever recorded

Danny "Run Joe" Taylor - Come Back Connie / Butter Beans and Rice [Parody 1002/1003] ($200) - Heavy delta blues on one side, and a contender for the first rock and roll record (July 1949) on the other, from a label that put out this one record and immediately went out of business.

SOLD Ben Selvin - I Only Have Eyes For You / Born To Be Loved [Royal Blue Columbia] ($40)

Add some Columbia Royal Blue discs and you'll have a trifecta in indigo.

I've only ever found one of those in almost 14,000 records in my collection!

How much would you want for Ben Selvin, "I Only Have Eyes For You" 2936-D?

I have it.

And actually we forgot about blue amberols too, if we're going for something old [...] something blue! (Although I've only ever had four of those, and sold them here last month, since I only collect discs)

Don't forget the very dark blue Brunswicks from 1935-7. Not to mention blue- grey Indestructibles. :D
