FOR SALE: Some pretty fun 78’s, VARIOUS

Post by MicaMonster »

I present to you these five fun 78rpm discs. Photos below.

Perfect 12408 Henry’s Made a Lady out of Lizzie / I Scream You Scream We All Scream For Ice Cream: Paul Johnson (Jack Kaufman). Record is an E, shiny grooves, with nice original sleeve. This is an electrically recorded Perfect, and plays and looks like it was played few times. Few sleeve grit marks from storage. $25. SOLD

Victor 20466 I’m Looking Over a Four Leaf Clover, Jean Goldkette Orch, Vocal by Billy Murray / Yankee Rose Fox Trot, Roger Wolfe Kahn Orch. NIce shiny E copy, could be an E+ if fingerprints cleaned off. With crisp original sleeve (mismatched number written in pencil on upper corner). . Most likely old store stock, No spindle marks on label. One HOT fox trot with Bully Murray! $15 SOLD

Victor 19913 Thanks for the Buggy Ride FT / I’ve Got Some Lovin to Do FT, Waring’s Pennsylvanians. Plays like an E, looks a step below an E-. I’ll give it a strong V+ grade. Great vocals, including a fellow with a voice that sounds like Popeye (forgive me, I don’t know his name). $5 SOLD

Victor 22027 Tip-Toe Thru the Tulips with Me FT / Painting the Clouds with Sunshine FT, Jean Goldkette Orchestra. Record looks nice E+ Few little micro sleeve marks, no spindle search marks around label. Most likely old store stock. $7 SOLD

Victor 20089 What’s the Use or Talking FT / Bye Bye Blackbird FT, George Olsen and His Music. Record is a shiny E- only because of one sleeve grit spot. Label only has ONE spindle search mark on each side. Really nice playing disc. $5 SOLD
