This is an early "Pre Dog" Victor Monarch record... before Nipper was used in the trademark...

Ah. I just didn't realize that there was a 7-inch monarch label, and later in 1901 it was changed to 10 inch.

I would highly recommend buying the "Collector's Guide to Victor Records" by Mike Sherman. It gives a very good overview of the Victor and (later) RCA Victor 78 labels over the years. It's an excellent resource.
