For Sale: Mammut Coin-Op Grammophon Phonograph - $700

Post by USlakeside »

$700

I need the space back, so this is a steeply discounted machine. Very cool Mammut grammophon for sale. It's in working order, save the missing coin-op mechanisms, which are nearly always missing. The reproducer is a later European soundbox. There seems to be a repair to the horn elbow. But overall a knockout machine. I live in an NYC apartment, and It is just a bit too big to be practical to have. The best place to search for Mammut parts I've found is ebay.de, German Ebay, where they come up more frequently.

The crank is missing the wooden knob. The case is in good condition with some separations. This would make a great project to get completed. There wouldn't be too much to do. Having had one giant Mammut before, I know this is the correct motor inside. While this horn is not the more iconic gooseneck shape, take it from me, those larger ones are so enormous that it is impossible to ship for under a few thousand. I tried! It was more than it would cost to ship a car to LA! I had to use a Grey Hound service for the last one I sold, which was obviously scary. I can provide full details and more photos.I'm looking for a local pickup, hence to lower price. The last one I sold was over 5k. I live in the Bronx, a block from Yankee Stadium. So you can double up your fun when you pick it up ;)
