I have decided to sell my original porcelain double sided Columbia Records sign. I had planned to hang it in the rec room, but my wife has other ideas...
The sign is 28" in diameter and both sides are exceptional... probably one of the best in existence, with some minor chipping on the edges and a small area in the center on both sides that appears to have been made by someone who wanted to mount it from the center (there is a small remnant of steel rod in the center that has been cut off on both sides and protrudes less than ¼"). The sign was painted white and forgotten for many years, which probably protected it and accounts for the condition. It was discovered earlier this year in North Carolina and when the paint was stripped away, it revealed an excellently preserved sign.
I have close to $2k in it and would like to get $1500 as a cash sale or combination trade of something interesting. If interested PM me...
The shipping will be actual cost, plus the cost of constructing a custom crate which will protect it from any travel hazards. The crate will be made of wood with stryofoam panels inside to protect it and approx. 36"x36".
PS: This is a great Christmas gift...

Thanks, I saw that Jeunesse a couple of days ago... but I doubt that Guido would entertain a trade...

Wait, what is the size of the turntable? This looks like almost like it was made to accommodate miniature records!

Am I missing something? I thought this thread was about the Columbia sign.
