SOLD: Scarce Edison 51997-PHIL NAPOLEON "LA LO LA" -$125

Post by FellowCollector »

Shiny excellent condition, plays great and VERY scarce!

Late acoustic Edison Diamond Disc #51997 featuring:

"LA LO LA" wonderful Fox Trot by Phil Napoleon And His Orchestra

-and-

"I'LL ALWAYS REMEMBER YOU" Fox Trot by Don Voorhees And His Earl Carroll's Vanities Orchestra (nice vocals by Vaughn De Leath!)

Both sides have SUPERB toe-tappin' arrangements. Phil Napoleoon's recordings on Edison (and there weren't many!) are seldom found today and they're wonderful if you enjoy early jazzy stuff like me! :) There are a couple of small, light inaudible handling scratches on L-side that affect nothing.

Late acoustic Edison Diamond Disc surfaces as on this disc had improved dramatically and were MUCH quieter than on earlier Edison discs. In fact, late acoustic Edison Diamond Disc recordings nearly rivaled the sound on some early electrically recorded Edisons from my perspective. :)

PM with interest. Packaged securely. USPS Media extra. Shipped promptly.

Thanks,
Doug
