I have a Victor Victrola XVI D and need a few odds and ends. I am looking for a crank escutcheon. It takes the version that has the built in sleeve that the crank slides through. Mine has worn to the point the sleeve has broke free from the plate and is on the crank shaft. I would prefer the gold plated variety if I can find it. I've included a couple of photos of what I have now.
Also would like to get 4 gold plated motor board mounting bolts and 3 gold plated tone arm bolts. Both of these bolt sets are smaller diameter bolts than the later serial number models use.
The turntable is nickel on this one also and I don't know if there were gold plated turntables for this serial numbered machine.
I believe this is one of those transition models that had some nickel and some gold hardware but am not sure of that either.
Thanks for looking.
Greg

I'm afraid that I can't help with parts myself, but I can let you know the nickel turntable is correct for you L door. They didn't use gold plating on the turntables because the bullet brakes would have worn through it. It seems Victor used up their stock of nickel turntables as late as 1913/14 on the XVI, so it is normal to have a nickel turntable and tab brake combination.

I might be able to help you out. Is your V VXI use a male crank, or a female crank? What is the diameter of the of the outside of the crank? The cranks are in different sizes, and I want to make sure this fits.

Can we see a photo of the complete machine? It appears to be Flemish Oak.

I too have a Flemish oak L door. They are very stately looking. Can't wait to see it!
