Wanted, the following parts for the Edison Edisonic Beethoven phonograph we recently rescued in Louisville, KY. What I am needing for the Beethoven is:
1: A complete horn assembly (will a horn from an earlier machine work? I have a junker A100 and a C150 in storage.)
2:A grill (or set of measurements and photos that we can make a copy of)
3: A pair of knife hinges for the right door that covers the horn.
4: The wooden back plate that the lid hinges mount to. (If not, I can duplicate this).
5:FOUND (quality reproduction)The dangly part of the door knobs. I do have the back plates.
There may be other little bits and Bobs I need throughout the process, but I think I have the rest in various parts machines around home.
Thanks in advance.

The Beethoven and Schubert used longer horns than other Edison Disc Phonographs, and they're not interchangeable. You'll probably need to find a junker Edisonic in order to get a horn.

Good luck!

Is it just a longer neck with the lower part of the horn being the same? If so, there are plenty of junked Edison horns out there that could be modified. Of course the performance might not be optimal...

Unfortunately, no, the dimensions of the horn's bell are different as well - almost round. I'll bet there's at least one Schubert out there with a junk cabinet/missing reproducers/etc. that might be available to save this Beethoven.

I got a grill for one of these at a swap meet a number of years back. I gave it to our local repair guru. I can see if he still has it , but we are in Australia so it could be expensive to post and there is the risk of damage also.

regards
Stephen

Here are some pics of the Beethoven Edisonic door pulls. They were made by Rinaudo's expert shop. I had them make two sets of door pulls and I asked them to make one set a little brighter than what the original door pull was. So they didn't antique them at all and sent me a jar of acid to darken them myself. I painted a little bit of the acid on them, but that only darkened them a little. I think you have to soak them in the acid. But they look good as is too. For comparison, the one on the far right is an original.
