Didn't Edison made 3 versions of the Amberola VI, the (A)VI, (B)VI, and (C)VI ?? I may be wrong.

Yes, the BVI and CVI were based on the Fireside mechanism. Frow briefly mentions that there may have been a DVI as well made from parts left over after the 1913 plant fire.briankeith wrote:Didn't Edison made 3 versions of the Amberola VI, the (A)VI, (B)VI, and (C)VI ?? I may be wrong.

Not meaning to sidetrack Eric's original posting but since it was referenced, I own an Edison Amberola D6 and featured it in one of my Youtube videos here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cxco708WE9o52089 wrote:Frow briefly mentions that there may have been a DVI as well

The earlier VI was essentially the same as the Amberola V, but without the automatic stop.52089 wrote:Yes, the BVI and CVI were based on the Fireside mechanism. The fire was actually in December 1914: the DVI was issued with the redesigned works also used in the Amberola 50/75.

The early V and VI had different motor designs I believe.Lucius1958 wrote:The earlier VI was essentially the same as the Amberola V, but without the automatic stop.52089 wrote:Yes, the BVI and CVI were based on the Fireside mechanism. Yes, they did. Similar looking upper mechanisms, but different works.Valecnik wrote:
