SOLD: Edison #52591 "FAREWELL BLUES" CAMPUS CUT-UPS-$195

Post by FellowCollector »

From my Edison Diamond Disc collection, a really scarce and desirable late one!

This Edison Diamond Disc rarely surfaces anywhere on the planet.

Recorded on May 16, 1929 in Edison's New York studio this is:

#52591 "FAREWELL BLUES" (Hot!) Fox Trot By THE CAMPUS CUT-UPS (with vocals)

-and-

"WABASH BLUES" (Hot!) Fox Trot By THE CAMPUS CUT-UPS (with vocals)

Both sides play nicely with crisp clear sound (both sides were well recorded!). There are some scratches and scuffs on both sides that will create some light background noise and occasional pops during play but it's never been distracting to me and I'm pretty picky as a listener. The L side has a (nice) replacement label and some edge scuffing that makes for intermittent pops at the very start of play on this side. Again, I'm nit-picky when I'm selling my stuff. I know what it's like to be the customer on the other end.

PM with interest. Thanks.

Doug
