SOLD: Victor I #2 $500

Post by downsouth »

For sale is a Victor I project that is incomplete. The serial number is 48865. Early straight side turntable complete except for the crank, horn and lever for the bullit brake. Motor is missing two governor weights and the springs. Mainspring is either broken or unhooked from the shaft. Case is in good condition with original finish with no breaks or damage. Good sharp corners. All plating is tarnished but I think it will polish up nicely. The turntable needs felt. As a bonus, it has the horn extension collar to adapt the larger Victor horns. Price is SOLD plus shipping and insurance. Possible delivery to the Union show also. First to say "SOLD" on the Forum gets it. Please feel free to ask any questions.

Wes

No, way too nice to part out. They make repro parts for a reason. I'd gladly give $500 for it as is to restore, but am too poor at the moment...school budget.

HEY FORUM!

I'm very sorry to say that I won't be able to take the machine on. I had a major change of living arrangements (unexpected move & cessation of salary) and Downsouth (Wes) needs money by the end of the month.

NOW IS YOUR CHANCE to succeed where others failed. He's got an awesome Hawthorne & Sheble horn with it to be restored if you wanted to put a nice morning glory on it.

Somebody with a yen for a Victor--help a brother out and give Wes a hand getting rid of this machine. He was great about working out a price--I just couldn't afford after the mess with changing living accomodations.

Do it sometime before the end of the month.
