Hi All-- Wanted- Bing Crosby-- You Must Have Been a Beautiful Baby. 1938 Decca.. (or???...)
A couple months ago I posted a call for help in choosing a Daddy-Daughter wedding dance song (Music section of Forum). My daughter remembers times we danced with her standing on my feet while my Credenza or another machine was playing. She has asked that I bring a phonograph to the reception for our dance. I'm planning to take a Victor II.
I received lots of great suggestions from forum members. I sincerely appreciate the ideas.-- Some were a little corny--some too "romantic" for a father/daughter dance-- BUT--- My daughter has made her choice!!
Now I need to find a clean 78 of "You Must Have Been a Beautiful Baby" ... Bing Crosby did it in 1938-- Perry Como some years later.
Does anyone have a good clean copy of the Bing Decca of this song? I'd consider other artists, but Bing may be the oldest one to be found.. Not exactly in the date range of a Victor II, but hey-- it's her wedding day
Thanks-
Brad Abell
