For sale is an all original Victor IV, serial number 40939. Original finish in all original parts. Black and brass horn with original decal and finish. There are a few dings but it can be rolled out with great results. The horn is on the machine as presented but the machine is missing the "Y" clip and hold down screw for the elbow. I borrowed another one from another machine for the photos. The motor runs and springs appear to be good but it needs servicing. Again just as I found it. The Exhibition reproducer was missing so I added a nice nickel rebuilt version to go along with the machine. Turntable felt is original and the case has a few scuffs but no missing corners or columns. Should cleanup nicely. The stenciling on the backbracket is about 85% and should polish up as well. Plating is tarnished, but should cleanup great. Price is SOLD. Plus shipping and insurance. Possible delivery to the show in Union. First to say "SOLD" on the forum gets it. Please feel free to ask any questions.

Is the case mahogany?

It's Mahogany, as are all IVs.

Yes it's mahogany. The finish is a little dry, but definitely restorable.

Interestingly, a few of the "new style" cabinets for the redesigned MS have surfaced in oak -- https://www.intertique.com/OakIVIDDemo.html --OrthoSean wrote:It's Mahogany, as are all IVs.

(Not Mine, wish it were....)
Apparently, even some of the old style Victor MS models were advertised as "Victor IV" though they were stamped MS on the mfg. data plate -- http://www.phonographcompany.com/index. ... &detail=31
(I think they did that just to confuse future generations. )

I've had some interest on these machines, so if you want to make a reasonable offer, feel free. The worse I could do is say no. I could also offer the sale of the machine minus the horn if that would help. Just let me know.
