FOR SALE: Brunswick Radiola Combination BR-260 - $350

Post by OrthoSean »

After months of some serious collection contemplating, I'm going to be selling some choice machines I never thought I'd part with, but a few recent acquisitions and space becoming even more of an issue have made me make some tough decisions. This Brunswick came from an estate in Massachusetts and I'm the second owner. It has never seen storage anywhere but in a heated home. It's been well cared for over all these years and it comes with all sort of neat little goodies, a true time capsule. All the paperwork, packing tags, record albums, instructions, battery diagram, record index and key are original to the machine. The reproducer has been rebuilt by me on both sides, however, the Edison stylus is damaged, BUT, I am including a spare reproducer with a perfect stylus in it that can be used to replace or rebuild the spare one, they're identical. I'm also including a double sided Ultona, also rebuilt so you can swap out for playing Pathé discs, no sapphire is included. The four spring motor is huge, silent and strong. It plays beautifully. The cabinet has amazing bookmatched veneers. It's big, heavy and just cool. I've never touched the radio, but it's all there. The knob for the left side antenna door is missing. I'm asking $350. Wayne delivery MAY be possible, but I can't promise that. The machine can be picked up near Albany NY, just minutes off the NY State Thruway.

Thanks for looking!

EDIT: The original buyer of this machine came by this past Sunday to pick it up and decided to buy my 8-35 instead, so this is now available again!

I can't tell what it looks like with these sideway photos...

Just kidding. I've seen this machine in person and it is very cool, very nice, and very complete!

Yea now I've got a kink in my neck!

I've always wanted a real nice early radio/phono combination like this but the damned space issue... I guess we all suffer from it. I'm sure it depresses the prices of anything bigger than a GEM to some extent.

Good luck with your sale! It's a beauty.

Thanks! And yes, if I had the space, I wouldn't be selling this or the others I'll be listing here (hopefully) soon. This is really just the way you want to find these.

I've also seen the machine in person, and can vouch for its remarkable condition and great sound. Sean did a wonderful job on rebuilding the reproducers.

A little bump, this machine is now available again for sale. The buyer chose my 8-35 when he came to pick this up, so it's still available.

Now $350. Last call, if this doesn't sell at this price, it will go into my "phono storage", this is a really great machine, folks!

I'd really like to get this machine to a new home....open to reasonable offers, Wayne is over, so you'd have to arrange pickup or shipping. I need the space!
