Going through my mountains of records again... this time I'm offering a very rare and early Aaron Copland record set on 12" Royal Blue Columbia from 1933 (which *may* have actually been recorded earlier in 1930-32) Disc 68320_D consists of Variations I to VII on S.1, Variations VIII to XVII on side 2. Disc 68321-D consists of Variations XVII-XX and Coda. Piano solos by Aaron Copland. Side 2 of this disc contains "Nocturne", from Copland's "Two Pieces For Violin and Piano". Copland is joined by Jacques Gordon on violin for this side.
Overall condition is E to E+ with light superficial marks not affecting play. For a Copland enthusiast, here's a rare chance to hear "the dean of American composers" interpreting his own compositions very early in his career on the original medium. These are sleeved with no album cover.
$150.00 plus ship.
