I don't know if these are of interest. Not cracked but they sound crappy.
I figured someone could shave them.

Have you ever tried recording? VictrolaGuy on youtube has cleaned them down with 3n1 oil and recorded on them. I have never tried it but it looks like it works well. Better than throwing them out.

FYI:

Edison Gold Moulded wax was never intended to be
cut with a recorder cutter. It is quite hard
and will dull up a sharp cutter in roughly two shakes of
a lamb's tail!

Thanks for letting me know Chuck I am glad I didn't try it for I only have one cutter. Why do people want or in this case buy moulded and flea bitten records? Maybe I should be asking buyer of these records. Why?

One thing I could imagine that having a stock
of original Gold Moulded wax might be useful for
is if someone ever starts producing metal cylinder molds
for casting new 2-minute Edison Gold Moulded cylinders
again.

Having a good stock of original Gold Moulded Edison
wax will probably help in replicating the formula
for making new Gold Moulded wax.

Or, possibly the old Gold Moulded wax may be able to
be re-cast into new records. Most likely that would
require a little added chemistry to freshen it back up
to decent casting quality, however.

So, there are reasons to save the old Gold Moulded
cylinders and not simply throw them away. We can
learn a lot from analyzing the old material.

Same applies to the 4-minute black wax Amberol cylinders,
although I can't think offhand why anyone would want
to repeat that lesson in how not to make records!

Well, in my case, going by the appearance of most of these, it's a level of crappiness of which I have a good few cylinders and which I can tolerate. I don't mind some surface noise for $1 each!
I actually have tried shaving and recording on a black moulded cylinder (once) and though I don't think it harmed my cutter it wasn't a good result at all.
