FREE: Ediphone--- Yippee! -- FREE to good home!

Post by outune »

I picked up a couple machines and a cygnet horn today-- This Ediphone came with the "deal". It was an all-or-nothing proposition, so she now sits in my garage.

If a forum member would like it, it is FREE to a good home. The small pot metal bracket that holds the speaking tube to the reproducer is broken and the mouthpiece hook-bracket is bent. I have not plugged it in. Cool looking piece that is part of Edison history. Reproducer is present.
Must be picked up in the Northern Virginia/DC area. I can't keep it around very long. I'm hopeful someone would like to give it a home.

Thanks!

This thing is awesome!

A Forumer using this could set up a mean recording studio, then send the cylinders to Don Wilson's record lab to become new 78s and DD's--like Pathé and Perfect Records, use cylinders for masters.

It'd be cool; I'd do it if I lived close!

Bump-- I'll give this one last try before stripping some parts off it and trashing the rest. I really hate to do it, but need it out of the way-- FREE to a good home-- Somebody please rescue this 90 year old piece of history.

Thanks! :)

I hope someone gets this. The neat thing about it is the Sesquicentennial of 1926. That took place in Philadelphia in commemoration of the 150th anniversary of our Independence. Not too many items show up of this Exhibition. This would be a great cross-collectible of someone who collects World's Fair , Edison, and Phonographs.
