I have an empty cabinet for the Victor 8-60, which was essentially an orthophonic Credenza or 8-30 but with an additional electrical pickup and a power amp and driver, plumbed so that one could play records acoustically or electrically through the big orthophonic horn.
The cabinet has lost its internals and was refinished to a lighter-than-original shade. The exterior is in very nice condition otherwise.
Opening the lid reveals the "Electrola" decal intact on the inner surface of the lid, and it still has its dashpot lid props, but everything else inside is gone.
It's located here on the west coast, near San Francisco.
Creative phono-related repurposing or an ambitious restoration are possible, but unless someone here wants it, I'll probably donate it or craigslist it as a hutch or something. Or curbside with a free sign?
I'm sure Jerry Blais will have the room and gumption to get it from here to the August LA show, or Union, at some small additional expense to you.
Photos upon request.
