Note to Self: never try shipping a horn of any decent size ever again: packing and shipping are hideously bulky and expensive...

Shipping via Greyhound on horns is half the price of anyone else and they handle it with kid gloves. I shipped a Vic V with large flower horn for $85 last year from OR to Cincinnati. It arrived damage free within a week.
Only issue is it needs to be dropped off/ picked up station to station but it's very well worth it in savings.

Re: SOLD: Edison #10 Cygnet bell
Unfortunately, I have been informed that the original buyer has reneged on the sale, just after I actually shipped it.
This is probably my fault, as I had not estimated the shipping cost before sending it: the difficulty of getting such a bulky package to the post office made me loth to bring it back home, after hauling it, precariously hanging out of my trunk, secured with bungee cords.
If I do get the package returned, after this debacle, I will be out a bit of money: the more fool I, for thinking that I could make any profit on a transaction.
If I get it back, I will resist it for local pickup, or carry it to a local buyer. I must consider this as a life lesson.

Re: SOLD: Edison #10 Cygnet bell
$96.31 shipping just for the bell. Way high. Since they shipped it before they let me know the cost. I agreed to pay. But they really should had informed me of high cost of shipping first
