FOR SALE: Earliest Victrola IX - NOW $375 delivered to APS
An excellent example of a Victrola IX in its very earliest form from 1911. Original finish in very good condition. Original turntable felt and lid bumpers. This early version uses a modified Victor III motor which winds smoothly and runs nice and quiet. Bullet brake. Early style tonearm. This machine was completely untouched when I bought it. I rebuilt the reproducer because it was buzzing badly. I conservatively cleaned the cabinet and I lubed the motor. I just noticed that I haven't even cleaned the knobs. I appreciate machines in very good original condition and I hope you do, too. I've had this machine for years because it's such a good example but I've realized that I can't just keep buying--I have to thin my collection. Asking $500. If you can give this a good home post reply with "SOLD!" or PM with interest. I can deliver to the APS Show in Buena Park, August 18-19. Otherwise, pickup from Riverside, Southern California. I'd rather not ship. Thanks.

That’s only the second Victrola IX I’ve seen with bullet brake in 40 plus years of collecting.

Thanks guys.
I can't believe I forgot to get a photo of the tag. It's got tarnish/aging that makes it a little hard to read. I'm tempted to clean it up but I like this thing as found. It's serial number 5662.

YUGE PRICE DROP: NOW $375 (only if picked up at the APS show Saturday.)
I would like this to be appreciated by someone in the collecting community. If I list it on eBay God only knows where it might end up!
Will consider partial trade for an Edison Model H reproducer with good stylus.
