WANTED: 2 x Polyphone Horns Edison Standard

Post by Phono+888 »

Hi, I am looking for 2 x Polyphone horns for my Edison Standard. I would like originals but realise I might have to settle for reproductions. I am located in Australia.

Thanks

Are you looking for black funnel horns or brass ones as shown? A standard would have come with the black funnel horns..

I thought that seamless brass horns (with angled reproducer ends) were an option as well as the black funnel horns. Possibly as an upgrade.

I am looking for the black funnel horns. The horns I currently have on the standard are reproductions made here in Australia.

I may be wrong as a lot of information about polyphone set ups is not documented. I have understood that the black funnel horns were for the Home and Standard. The Springmotor Polys used the brass horns and the concert Poly uses 24 inch brass horns. I have an original brass horn on my Home Poly that would probably be the correct set up on a springmotor..I don’t know 100% but I imagine that you could get the brass horns seperately for whichever set up you had...
