SOLD! VIctor PT “Rhapsody In Blue” $50

Post by OrthoSean »

Offered here is a 1931 or so issue of Gerswins “Rhapsody In Blue” and “Victor Prize Selectiions”. Side one is of course the classic Whiteman with Gershwin himself at the piano. Side two is Shilkret. These issues are scarce in any condition. This copy is a nice E. There is a tiny bit of edginess in the loud parts of side one. Side two is perfect. These were dubbed from the original 78 masters also as most were so sound quality isn’t the best to begin with but these weren’t bad dubs. This is certainly worthy of any collection and not a copy I would part with if I didn’t have another. $50. Plus $5 media mail.

Thanks fo looking!

Sean

I have been collecting these for years. My goal is a complete set less the organ solo ones and "The Bat" series as I'm not in the mood to pay big bucks for records I'll never play. This RIB dub is one of the few I was missing- although I've never actually found a comprehensive list.

Now that the 331 Duo I bought from gemering last fall has finally arrived from the East Coast yesterday I'll be able to unpack it after the relatives leave and start flinging these puppies! :D
