FOR SALE: VE 10-50 for $1450 or $400 En-route Free Delivery

Post by Victrola-Monkey »

My 4th full functionality restored 1927 Victor Victrola Phonograph Changer model VE 10-50

Complete as seen in photos for only $1450.

Click on the link to see this machine's demonstration video: https://youtu.be/pkmsW7BvAU0

Very early serial number 605. This is the 105th built (numbers start at 500).

All 5 of the notoriously bad pot-metal parts replaced with cast aluminum ones made at a local foundry.*

All 4 pot-metal record size selector gears replaced with quality brass Boston Gear Co. gears.*

*Note that the aluminum and brass replacement kits cost about $500.

All the felt in the record paying area has been replaced.

The reproducer has a new replacement back flange.

The changer mechanism and motor were completely taken apart, cleaned up, oiled, and greased.

Includes a new 8' cloth covered power cord with original style plug and socket.

Everything works wonderfully.

Custom cart with 4" swivel wheels included upon request.

Beautiful walnut wood cabinet in just ok shape. The top does have some serious scratches, the original finish lacquer does have some flaking, and there is a little veneer peel in the right front corner. There are just a few scratches elsewhere and there is some areas of the front, right side, and back where the original lacquer is flaking. The inside finish is very nice. There is a small hole drilled through the lower right of the back panel in the record playing area. Zoom in on high resolution photos to see condition.

This is the fourth VE 10-50 I have restored and have sold the first three since this summer to other collectors with very fine phonograph collections who have reported they are very pleased with its operation and condition.

Weight: 320 lbs.
Dimensions: 49.25" high x 48" wide x 25.5" deep

Re: FOR SALE: VE 10-50 for $1500 or $500 Wayne or Enroute

Post by Victrola-Monkey »

Since I could use this changer and its parts for a VE 9-55 cabinet, I am making this VE 10-50 available for only $500 minus a small number of parts as an option to buying the complete machine as pictured and described above.

For $500 it would come without the changer and its parts, magazine stand, record ring, tone arm and its parts, speed control, needle cup, escutcheon for the record size selector, and this specific power switch.

For $500 you would get the cabinet, doors, back panels, record drawer, wooden changer front panel, wooden changer/motor board, needle cup holder, ID plate with s/n 605, horn, horn pipes, horn grill, complete wiring harness with everything connected except the socket where the motor would plug into, light fixture and bulb, door open sensor switch, another power switch that doesn't have as nice of a finish, new 8' cloth covered power cord with original style plug and socket and of course all the screws that are securing these items in place. I'll even throw in the swivel wheeled cart shown above.
