Seeking Victrola XVI Leg (foot?) Parts

Post by jharrellh »

Hi All,

Just acquired a pretty nice fumed oak XVI. The only real issue is that the back foot on the right side is missing one of the glued-up pieces (it is split right at the caster). Anyone have a junk cabinet that they would be willing to perform an amputation on :o ? Doesn't have to be oak, the piece that is missing is in the lower back of the foot and stained very dark.

Thanks!!
James H

Aha! So you snagged it from the lady in Cincinnati! I had hoped to get it myself. Good score!

That's the one! There are a few things that need attention, but overall it is pretty nice. Will post some pics when I get it cleaned up. It was in a cluttered basement and the owner is keeping an eye out for the missing piece, but I am not holding my breath.

Hope to drop in and meet you this summer - I grew up in the Milton area and still have lots of friends and family around the Madison area.
