WANTED: VE 9-25 Electrola Loop Antenna Gear Arm

Post by Victrola-Monkey »

Does anyone have a spare VE 9-25 Electrola Loop Antenna Gear Arm, or maybe two? Or have a mold or pattern board for casting them? This is another one of those dreaded pot-metal parts and is my best example of one in being in only five pieces versus one.

Both my VE 9-25s are complete and in excellent condition minus this Gear Arm. Well, there are 3 other gears, two of which are pot-metal and swelled, but they appear to be close to the Boston Gear Company’s model G466Y brass gears, so I ordered a pair to test. (These are slightly different from the gears I use on my cast aluminum Record Size Selector Gear Assembly Base for the 1927 Type-1 Changer VTMC phonographs). The 3rd gear that mates up to the Gear Arm appears to be made of steel and is in great condition.

Thanks for any leads or tips.
