Just acquired an excellent c.1913 VV-XVI cabinet serial number 72289E with a horn. I need pretty much everything else, 3 spring motor, skinny tonearm, turntable, and motorboard with hardware.
I already have a reproducer ready for this machine if I can just get the other parts...
Guess I'm looking for someone who has a similar machine with a very dilapidated cabinet. The motor need not be running.
Thanks! Cliff

A forum member has provided a tonearm for this machine. Now all I need is the motor and motor board with hardware.
One less thing...
Thanks! Cliff

That motor may be hard to find. They only used it for one year, if my memory is correct. Looks like a standard VTLA motor, but it is direct wind and from the opposite side of the motor than a VTLA, therefore the speed control is in the back left of the motor board and not the right front. I had one, but gave it to a forum member a year or so ago...
Good Luck!

That’s a beautiful cabinet. Maybe wait and see what comes up in the forum. You may try George Vollema, but his shop does not open until April. You could also check with Ron Sikto.
That motor is a tough one to find.
Good luck and all the best,
Jerry

Hi Cliff:
That looks like the same motor in the VV-XVI. “L-Door” models.

To help keep this thread on track, I can corroborate what Cliff showed with an image of the same motor that's in my XVI #63,448 E.

And the motor board from the top.

Fran,
The motor picture I posted is the same type but with some differences. Your motor (the motor I need) has the direct wind (the winding crank screws directly on to the spring barrel shaft) with the winding shaft on the opposite side and quad cut drive gears. If you ever decide to part out your VV-XVI, let me know
