SOLD: 1928 Victor Electrola 12-15E

A complete and original unmolested survivor that has sat dormant since the early 1930's! Untouched and un-restored, I am offering an ultra rare 1928 Victor Electrola 12-15E for sale.

Original 1928 price tag was $550.00, a very expensive machine for the late 1920's.

Tube line up (all globe tubes): 2x81, 1x26, 1x50 output. The 81's and 50 are matched tubes that were sold with this set when new. All tubes test with excellent emission! Victor engraved stamp in tube bases as seen in photo.

The pick up head has been rebuilt, tested, and ready to go. All other electronics are original and have not been serviced.

There is an input for a radio tuner to be incorporated with the sets amplifier. This is a factory feature included with the machine when new.

The RCA amplifier is the later issued AP-736. Hum issues were solved with this amplifier upon introduction of this later factory issued 2nd version.

There are only a handful of these models known to exist, an ultra rare Electrola model.

Wood finish is original and in good condition. Stretcher is missing several pieces of veneer, a tiny piece of stretcher is missing near the center cross section within the center of stretcher.

A true survivor from 1928, you will be hard pressed to find another original example if you collect these machines. Machine is meant for electrically pressed 78 rpm records only!
