By the way, Helen Kane was not Betty Boop. The most famous of the B.B. voices was Mae Questal. My favorite of the H.K. imitators, however, was Patsy Young (AKA Annette Hanshaw!):

Wasn't Betty Boop based on Helen Kane (rather than vice-versa)? I don't think Betty appeared until the early 30's, but Helen was around in the late-1920's.

I think a good Helen Kane disk to get is the one which has "Button up your overcoat" on one side and "I want to be bad" on the other. Both great recordings and a double "A" sider in my opinion.
