this is an extremely clean, complete and original victor schoolhouse machine, the later style VV-XXV with the removable lid (that can be reattached to hang off the back) and the hinged shelf (that can be raised to make room to store the horn when not in use). the No. 2 reproducer has been rebuilt. the finish is original, as is the turntable felt. all nickel-plated components are in excellent condition. the horn is the correct, oversized smooth oak horn with original victor decal. victor V key is included as well.
this is presently listed on ebay - my name there is the same as here, brianu - so you can check the photos there. this can also be checked out in person whenever in center city philadelphia, pa. I've got 4000 into this machine and that's what I'd like to get out of it. I purchased it in about 2004 from a collector in pa who was retiring to florida and couldn't take it all with him. this is available for pick-up, or I can bring this to the wayne, NJ phonograph show in april. if interested, send me a message or email brianu73 at hotmail.
